Big bird a boost for Coffs

TOURISM on the Coffs Coast received a welcome boost yesterday when Qantaslink's new Q400 Bombardier aircraft flew into Coffs Harbour Airport for the first time.

The aircraft carries an extra 22 seats and will operate on the 14 weekly flights from Coffs Harbour to Sydney, including the popular 6.30am service used by many Coast business people.

Recent passenger figures for Coffs Harbour Airport revealed that more than 335,000 travellers had used the airport in the year up to June 30, 2008.
