TechiChik your local web expert

TECHICHIK is a cool name for a web services company and Coreyna Blachut is the techno whiz behind the innovative Mullaway-based company.

The 23-year-old website designer has been writing HTML since she was 14 and her customers say she is one smart lady.

“I built my first website a decade ago and began doing it professionally at the age of 16,” Coreyna said.

“When I was 18 I began to work full time as a freelancer, contracting for another local website design company, which I later took over.

“The contracting work allowed me to build my own business, ‘TechiChik’, so named in support of skilled women in the technology industry.”

TechiChik offers website design and development, domain registration, website hosting, website updates, search engine optimisation, and marketing, logos, graphic design, pre-visualisation and 3D animation. Coreyna said TechiChik’s goal was to provide businesses with affordable, easy-to-use, great-looking websites.

“These days most businesses recognise the benefits of getting online but many firms charge thousands of dollars for websites that don’t meet their needs,” she said. “We believe in honest and fair pricing.

“Not only do we ensure your website is unique, visitor friendly and easy on the eye, but we know you should be able to manage your own website, so we provide you with an easy ‘point and click’ admin area so that you aren’t locked into anything and you have full control over your site.”

When the locally-run Food Intolerance Network wanted a major upgrade to their website, one of the world’s largest health information sites, they looked all around the globe and found the answer right in their backyard.

“We were getting about 1500 people a day on our website but it was getting out-of-date and hard to navigate,” said Dr Howard Dengate of the Network.

“TechiChik at Mullaway undertook a major revamp over five months.

“After the excitement of going live on July 1 we are getting triple the number of visitors at www.fed-up.com.au and will hit three million before the end of the year.”

He said immediate support, hosting and training was part of the package, which was very reasonably priced and far more accessible than trying to work with capital city firms.

Coreyna Blachut’s partner, Craig Reid, specialises in logos, graphic design, pre-visualisation and 3D animation.
