Benefits of joining a music ensemble

LEARNING to play an instrument or sing is not only enjoyable, but it can become a lifelong passion.

Sharing your skills and passion with a group of like-minded musicians in an ensemble is just one of the music education pathways offered by the Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium.

Students can join ensembles to play classical music or jazz or rock, or anything in between.

They may sing in a choir or play in the youth orchestra, or in a guitar ensemble or in the studio band.

The most advanced classical music students may perform in the academy ensemble.

Performing in an ensemble is an opportunity to experience the sound of combined instruments or voices making music together under the direction of our professional teaching staff.

In that environment, students in an ensemble also find that their skills improve far more quickly.

Ensemble players also have many opportunities to demonstrate their abilities for their families and for the general community in concerts in our performance theatre.

The Coffs Harbour Regional Conservatorium is at the Bray Street complex next to the movie theatre.
