Bellingen community rallies around Clark family

MANY in the Bellingen and Coffs Harbour communities are still coming to terms with the sudden death of well-known local mechanic and motor-cyclist Peter Clark.

Peter died on October 3 in Sydney of glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, which was diagnosed only days earlier.

On Friday, December 19 (changed from 20 Dec), the Diggers Tavern is hosting a Benefit Auction for his wife, Sandy, and their three children. Co-organiser Karen Young said a huge array of items had already been donated including a 2.5metre rubber dinghy, a set of car tyres, handmade leatherwork and a variety of vouchers for body piercing, hairdressing and more.

“People are being amazing,” Ms Young said.

The auction kicks off at 7pm.

Donations still welcome, contact Karen Young on 0423 528 483.
