Pinching Willie gets below the belt award

BELOW THE BELT AWARD: We've got the Grapple, the Chicken Wing, the Crusher and now the Penis Pinch. Newcastle forward Korbin Sims stunned everyone except Manly's big Willie Mason when he casually reached out and appeared to 'pinch" Willie's willy in last weekend's clash at Brookvale Oval. Maybe the match review committee could not adequately come up with a charge and as Willie didn't seem to take offence the incident was not raised.

TRY OF THE YEAR NOMS: Sharks forward Andrew Fifita had the favourite for individual try of the year for three minutes at Remondis Stadium. The big Sharks forward had bashed, palmed, stepped and muscled his way past six Warriors defenders to put Cronulla in the lead with a try only he could have scored. But three minutes later Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson blew it out of the water with a magical try in the 78th minute as he displayed his blinding speed and footwork to beat several defenders who could not put a finger on him.

TOUGH BREAK: Adam Reynolds returned from a knee injury to help end defending premiers South Sydney's worrying losing streak only to break his thumb in the process. A chance at a State of Origin jumper this year Reynolds is now looking at another 6-8 weeks on the sidelines.
