Bellingen youth will be all smiles

WITH the sun shining, concrete pours are now a daily occurrence at the Bellingen skate park .

It is a huge relief for Rob Lewers and his team of workers from Concrete Skate Parks, who were planning on a four-week job when they arrived at the beginning of October.

“It’s just been one of those jobs where things have been delayed, but now we’re sure we’ll be finished before the opening,” Mr Lewers said.

“It’s been good working with the community and the kids.

“When we arrived we came up with an alternative plan because we thought there were some problems with the original design and that was taken on board.

“Now it’s really looking good – especially the bowl, which is a beauty.”

The skate park and the youth centre will both be officially opened on Friday, December 10.
