Bellingen kids won't be bored

BELLINGEN children will be out and about in the community these holidays thanks to the relocation of the town's OOSH (Out of School Hours) and Vacation Care to Bellingen Primary School.

Co-ordinator Purdy Ruigrok said being more centrally located would benefit everyone.

“It makes it so much easier because we can run in sync with the primary school,” Ms Ruigrok said.

“Transport is also much more straight forward and efficient. We can start the program earlier and settle the kids more quickly. Plus we can walk to venues in town.

“During the holidays we are operating from 8am to 6pm with lots of activities. We have sports days, rock climbing, cooking, ice skating, lawn bowling, OOSH Idol and much more.”

She said the program started with loads of laughs yesterday with an Easter Feast Day.
