The amazing success that Bellingen High School's futsal teams have enjoyed this year is continuing.
Three girls from the school's 14-years girls team have been selected to represent Australia on international tours.
The 13 year-old pair of Sam Barker and Jessica Marks were selected to play in Australia's 14-years girls Futsal team which will be playing in Spain in May.
Hannah Taylor was selected to play in the national 15 years team which will also be going on a long journey to compete.
Taylor and her new teammates will be playing in the Welsh town of Rhyl in April.
The girls have just returned from Runaway Bay where they competed with their Bellingen High School teammates at the Australian Champion of Champions tournament.
The three girls stood out as the Bellingen team progressed all the way to the semi-final stage.
This was a fantastic result with hopefully more to come from the leading futsal school in Northern NSW.
The three girls were over the moon when told that were picked to wear the wear the green and gold and now they can't wait for the special chance to play with and against some of the best players of their respective ages in the world.
These amazing opportunities are on the back of the most successful season of futsal for the local high school which saw four teams from Bellingen make the Australian schools semi-finals.
Obviously trips to Spain and Wales don't come cheaply and the girls and their families have already begun the difficult task of fund raising to help allay the costs of chasing a dream.
Bellingen High School is calling on community groups, businesses or individuals that are willing to help the girls to contact Liz Hoy at the school on 6655 1315.
