Bed giveaway to help needy sleep

THE spirit of giving is everywhere and this year will guarantee that a good night’s sleep will be delivered to some lucky Coffs Coast residents.

In an act of festive generosity, the team at Beds R us at Homebase are giving away a dozen mattresses to those who need them most, and some of the people who support the needy.

Beds R Us principal Andrew Macleod said the carol, ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ was the motivation behind his benevolence.

“We (the team) had been talking about how tough Christmas must be for people who are not well off and so we thought we could at least give some people a good night’s rest as the ultimate present,” Mr Macleod said.

“Sleep is important and that’s why we are giving away 12 Australian made Sleepyhead Queen mattresses valued at $599 each to those in need this Christmas.”

“At Beds R Us, we believe that a good night’s sleep helps us perform better at work, increases energy and adds quality of life,” Mr Macleod said.

In conjunction with The Advocate, Beds R Us, is inviting entries from readers similarly imbued with the spirit of giving.

Starting on Monday, readers can collect coupons that will go into the draw to be conducted on the Monday before Christmas.

Ten winners will be invited to donate a mattress to the charity of their choice and two winners will get to each take a mattress home.
