Author in Coffs

AUTHOR Robert Menzies will be signing copies of his novel Glimpses of Purgatory at Dymocks Booksellers at Park Beach Plaza from 11am to 1pm tomorrow.

Glimpses of Purgatory, which has been described as 'an unsettling story' and 'a gritty piece of writing' follows the lives of two young brothers, Harry and Freddie, whose idyllic country life takes an abrupt turn for the worse when their father disappears.

Robert Gordons Menzies grew up on the Coffs Coast and the setting for Glimpses of Purgatory, his first book, is the city's hinterland.

Now a retired school principal, Robert lives at Hope Island on the Gold Coast.

But he has been back in the home of his childhood giving talks to members of Rotary clubs and tomorrow will be talking to the public and signing copies of his book.
