Art of coast and country on show

COUNTRY to Coast is the title of an exhibition of work by Coffs Harbour artists Norm Cummings and Myra King that will open on Friday at Coffs Harbour’s Ocean Noir restaurant.

Complimentary cocktails and canapés will be served at the Marina restaurant from 5.30-6.30pm on December 17 and both artists will be at the opening to discuss their work.

The artists’ diverse subjects include gumboots, fish nets and fried eggs and bacon to sunsets, snowy alps and moonlight reflections.

“There is no need to spend thousands of dollars and days flying or driving to alluring, magnificent, harsh and interesting places in Australia when you can view these in one beautiful location with a cocktail in one hand and a canapé in the other,” Mr Cummings said.

The exhibition will remain on display until Thursday, January 27.
