FORMER NRL star Mick Crocker will make his third attempt to go home a winner when he guest stars with Bellinger Valley-Dorrigo in today's Sgt Matthew Locke MG Memorial match.

The Magpies will play Australian Army Thunder at Bellingen Park from 6.15pm at the end of the town's biggest annual week of sport.

With a golf event and coaching camps held over the past few days, co-coaches Troy Robinson and Brad Hart finally get to introduce their new-look side to their army of supporters.

Honours between the teams are currently held 6-1 by the visitors.

Bellingen will send out Dwayne Button, Richard Widders, Marshall Davis, Doug Davis, Cameron Cohen, Chris Cubby, Shane Holten and Chris Morcombe in the famous black and white playing strip.

They will join home town stars Luke Rose, Luke Beaumont, Matt Bush, Peter Glyde, Marcus Lowe and Jake Suter in a much stronger outfit than the one that has taken the field in recent years.

Play begins at noon with an under-18 trial between the home club and Woolgoolga, followed by a Women's League Tag match against Uralla.

First grade games between Tenterfield and Woolgoolga, and Macksville and Uralla, will be curtain-raisers to the main event.
