Armed robbers hold up North Beach Bowling Club

NORTH Beach Bowling Club was the scene of an armed robbery after closing on Saturday night.

At about 12.30am a number of men forced their way into the building through the back of the club.

It is alleged the men were armed with a knife, crowbar, screwdriver and a piece of wood.

There were three staff and one security guard on the premises at the time.

Money from tills and proceeds from poker machines were taken.

When police arrived a crime scene was established and an extensive search of the area carried out.
