Where the big birds fly

Aircraft marshall John Harris gives the thumbs up for a great Air Show today as his team welcomes Connie, the giant Super Constellation to Coffs Harbour Airport. Connie is just one of a flock of special 'birds' which will show their plumage and paces at today's aviation spectacular. Hosted by the Coffs Harbour Aero Club, today's air show will be the biggest in the city for more than a decade. Ground displays will include a range of fascinating flying machines old and new. The show opens at 9.30am with the Roulettes arriving at 11.30am and the show's final event at 4pm. Enthusiasts are expected to return tomorrow morning to see the 'birds' take off for their home airfields from 8am to noon.
