What a great place to live!

Ecstatic, over the moon and proud as punch.

This is how Coffs Harbour mayor Cr Keith Rhoades described how he felt just hours after learning Coffs Harbour had won the Enhancement of the Landscape Award at this year's finals of the International Awards for Liveable Communities.

The city also came in second for cities with a population below 75,000 and also won a silver medal, placing it higher than any of the other eight Australian contenders.

Qian Dao Hu, Peoples Republic of China took out the honours for Most Liveable City for a population 20,000 to 75,000.
