Ways to save more water in the garden

AS AUSTRALIA comes to grips with record low rainfalls this past winter, ways of saving water are being explored.

While the Coffs Coast may not yet be feeling the pinch of the nation's worst drought on record, there is much to be gained environmentally from employing water saving practices.

Whether it's rinsing your vegetables in a plugged sink, buying a water saving trigger nozzle, rethinking your garden design or installing a greywater diversion device, there is something we can all do to save water.

This week is National Water Week and on Friday the Coffs Coast Advocate will provide a range of water saving tips for your home and garden.
