Wallabies too busy too visit

By MEL MARTIN

THE Wallabies are going to be a bit scarce on the ground in Coffs Harbour next year, with an announcement expected this morning that they are taking a break from their Pacific Bay Resort base.

Due to the pressures of preparing for the World Cup in France, the number of days the Wallabies will spend in Coffs Harbour next year will be drastically reduced, although cameo appearances are still to be expected.

Instead, they will come back in force in 2008, with their contractual arrangements being transferred from next year to the following.

Coffs Harbour will still be able to promote itself right through next year and through the World Cup as the 'home of the Wallabies', and with a bit of luck could even end up promoting itself as 'home of rugby's world champions'.

Full details of the Wallabies announcement in tomorrow's Coffs Coast Advocate.
