Vowed to vote

TEGAN Swan made a commitment to two men on Saturday.

One was her new husband, Steve Ewart, and the other was the member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser.

Tegan and her bridal party caused a minor stir when their limousine pulled up outside the Mullaway Public School polling booth at 2pm.

"We did get a few looks. It was so funny," the 23-year-old said.

She cast her vote in the State election for Mr Fraser, the incumbent Nationals MP ? 'he was the only name I recognised' ? before she was whisked away to the Bonville International Golf Resort to marry the love of her life an hour later.

"We had a beautiful ceremony in the rainforest," she said.

The happy couple set off yesterday for their two-week honeymoon on Brampton Island in the Whitsundays.

Tegan is the Life Education co-ordinator/educator for the Clarence Valley and travels to schools between Iluka and Emerald Beach, and Steve is a carpenter.

They've been together almost four years.

We wish them every joy.
