Urunga Anglers Club and Bellinger Valley Fishing news

A VERY quiet week on the fishing scene with strong winds, typical of late August curtailing most fishing activities and the September monthly open deep sea competition not held last Sunday due to heavy rain.

This competition will now be held on Sunday, September 18, as the annual presentation of trophies is on tonight, and most boaties will welcome a lie-in on this Sunday morning.

In the river, Kevin and Donald Habgood took bream, John Hennessy, blackfish; Chassa Taylor, bream, whiting and blackfish.

Kevin Ellem, blackfish. Ritchie Cambell and Jack Conder, blackfish. New members, David Battese with Stephen Vaughan went to sea to get snapper.

Best wishes for a happy weekend and good fishing.
