Truckie?s tragedy continues

DAVID Haebich and Wendy Parker (pictured) are the faces behind Tuesday's near-tragedy on the Pacific Highway at Pine Creek.

The Victorian couple thought they were goners after their B-double overturned, ran off the road and hit a stand of trees, only to have a semi-trailer then smash into their wreck.

David and Wendy were still recovering in hospital yesterday when they told Coffs Coast Advocate reporter Craig McTear about their harrowing ordeal.

See Monday's Advocate for their remarkable tale of survival.
