Tribal culture exchange



An unusual cultural exchange was happening in Bowraville yesterday when Canadian First Nations educational expert and member of the Ojibwe Tribe, Trina Maher (centre front), spoke with Year 9 and 10 students at Bowraville Central School. Seated to her left is Miimi Mothers chairperson, Karen Ella Bird. Ms Maher is in Australia talking about indigenous educational and employment strategies that have been proving effective in Canada.
