Touch 'n' go!

THE rain hammered down on Saturday afternoon, but nothing could stop the touch football finals taking place at BCU Stadium.

Both the boys and girls events were hit by the downpour as teams battled to stay on their feet and handle a football that had become as slippery as a bar of soap.

Eventually the rain eased and allowed QSST and Sydney Mets to claim the girls championships, while in the boys event, defending champions Mets were too good for QSST, running out 4-1 winners in atrocious conditions for another title.
