Top chef in charge

GEORGE Francisco, the chef behind the award-winning 'Dish' and 'Jonah's' restaurants in Sydney, will be taking charge of the 2006 Food and Wine Festival's Degustation Dinner at Bonville International Golf Resort.

The seven-course Degustation Dinner will take place at Bonville International Golf Resort on Friday, October 27.

The menu will be designed entirely by George Francisco, who will be working alongside the Flooded Gums Restaurant chefs for the night.

"We're excited to have the opportunity to host this event for the first time during the 2006 Food and Wine Festival ? especially with such a high quality chef working alongside our own team to showcase the best the Coffs Coast has to offer," Brad Daymond, general manager of the Bonville International Golf Resort, said.

The terrace lawn overlooking the 18th hole will be the setting for the evening and music will be provided by world-famous pianist David Helfgott, a string quartet, and other musicians from the Regional Conservatorium.

Tickets are $125 a person and are available from Bon- ville International Golf Resort.

The main event of the Festival will be the 'Food, Wine, Blues and Groove' day at Park Beach Reserve on Sunday, October 29.
