Titivators head for Singapore



NOT even in their wildest dreams could these Coffs Coast women forsee the adventure they have embarked on.

Boarding a flight for Singapore yesterday, four members of Titivators ? the Coffs Coast's Dragon Abreast team ? are to compete in the Breast Cancer Dragon Boat World Championships.

And they think it is hilarious.

"Who in their right mind would have thought we would be doing this. It proves that nothing is impossible. It's going to be fantastic and hilarious," Titivator Maureen Shaw said.

Joining Maureen in representing the Coffs Coast on the North Coast team is Sue Costello, Sue Elks and Cass Rogers.

The inaugural event, organised by the International Pink Dragon Boat Council, will witness teams made up by breast cancer survivors and supporters racing against each other.

The North Coast team's first race will take place on Friday.
