Think stylish in comfort

IT'S the question on everyone's lips.

With the Carlton Draught Coffs Harbour Gold Cup just under three weeks away, 'what to wear' on race day has become the talk of the town.

Described as the Coffs Coast social event of the year, local businesses are busy gearing up for the mad rush.

The owner of Voluptuous for Women, Jenny Childs said she has been run off her feet with customers searching for the perfect race day outfit.

"Earthy colours are very popular this year," she said.

"Classic black is also selling well.

"The best advice I could give race goers is to think stylish but also dress for comfort.

"Six inch stilettos don't work on the grass. Long boots with flowing skirts and dresses look great as an alternative."

Ella Bache beauty salon owner, Nicola Taylor said she will put on extra staff to cope with all the last-minute beauty requests.

"We already have 15 spray tans booked in for Wednesday," she said.

"Everybody wants to have a gorgeous golden tan for the big day.

"Of course Brazilian waxes are ever so popular again this year."
