These blokes are on 6000km mission
COFFS HARBOUR has provided a well-deserved break for good mates Glen West and Luke Garside.
They've just ridden their bicycles some 3000km from Cape York in a journey which will take them all the way to Tasmania's south-east cape.
The three-month trek, which they are scheduled to complete in early October, is a great way to see a great country, and raise funds at the same time for the Starlight Children's Foundation.
They're only resting one day a week during the gruelling expedition.
Glen, 24, and Luke, 21, are group leaders in outdoor education in Melbourne. It's a job which involves working with children, and that's what their mammoth expedition is all about.
They recently visited the Starlight Express Room at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne to see first hand how vital their fundraising will be.
Their stopover in Coffs Harbour yesterday also took in a visit to the Pet Porpoise Pool, where they swam with the dolphins.

The demand for Starlight's programs continues, with more than 600,000 child admissions to hospitals in Australia each year.
