There was even a touch of frost

It was a crisp morning for the residents of Emerald Beach yesterday as these two walkers brave the sands in what could almost be mistaken as a scene from Loch Ness. Sunrise was just before 7am and with it ocean vapour revealed an impressive display of steam. Further south, the Coffs Harbour Bureau of Meteorology measured its coolest morning this year of 2.3 degrees, slightly cooler than the June average. Some residents also reported the first touch of frost. Today and tomorrow is expected to be warmer with scattered showers and light to moderate south-east winds freshening on the coast. The temperatures over the weekend will range between 10 and 19 degrees.
