The cruiser you always wanted

NOW that Peter Costello has given you a well-earned tax cut, you might be in the mood to splash out. Perhaps it's that boat you've always had your heart set on. Well, look no further than the Pershing 62, an Italian motor yacht which cruised stylishly into Coffs Harbour yesterday afternoon. Complete with three bedrooms, an ice- maker, a freshwater machine, air-conditioning, satellite television, satellite broadband internet and an automated audio system, she's a steal at only $4.1 million. The pleasure cruiser is being accompanied on its voyage to the prestigious Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show by two other Italian beauties ? a $3.1m Ferretti 550 and a $2.4m Pershing 50. Whether it's the open sea or secluded bays and estuaries, they can handle just about anything. And they're no slouches either, with the ability to cruise at more than 40 knots. Yachting Unlimited, the Oceania distributor for the Ferretti Group, has been in charge of taking the trio safely from Sydney to Queensland. "While they might be out of reach of most budgets, there is no harm in dreaming," Yachting Unlimited chief executive officer, Rohan McJannet, said.
