State?s best young golfers take on Bonville

A SQUAD of the best young golfers in New South Wales have this week set up camp at Bonville International Golf Resort.

The golfers are part of the NSW Institute of Sport and have been here on the Coffs Coast as part of an Institute training camp.

Aged between 18 and 23, the squad has been living, eating and breathing golf during their stay in Coffs Harbour.

It's fitting that these young golfers are training and playing at the course voted as the 'Best Public access course in NSW' as they are some of the best young golfers that NSW has to offer.

This weekend, the NSW contingent is being joined by squads from both the Queensland and Victorian Institutes for a Tri-State match play tournament.

All the players know each other from previous tournaments and all will be giving it their best shot as state pride is put on the line today as well as tomorrow morning.

The NSW team is hoping that the hard work of the last week will give them an advantage as they try to put all the practice into action.

This group of golfers are the stars of the very near future, including current Australian Amateur Champion Tim Stewart who is no stranger to Bonville having played in the 2006 Bonville Cup and finished a close second.

Anyone keen to have a look at the form of 36 of the best young golfers in the country is invited to watch this prestigious event.
