Show your support for Allan

THE Coffs Harbour community has another opportunity to lend its support to Allan McCabe and his family. Mr McCabe, a former rugby player, broke his neck in the 2002 grand final, which left him a quadriplegic. A trust fund committee was established to co-ordinate fundraising for the McCabe family. They took delivery of a specially-modified car last year and the next project is a home specifically designed and built to meet the needs of Mr McCabe's disability. Several local businesses have already lent their support to this project. A black tie dinner, which forms part of the campaign, will be held at the Coffs ExServices Club on October 8, starting at 6.30pm. Tickets are $90 each and proceeds will benefit The Allan McCabe Trust and the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter. "This follows the phenomenal success of our first black tie dinner held last year at Opal Cove Resort," trust fund committee chairman Al Sparkes said.
