Sevens teams confirmed



A LINE-UP of 27 teams has been confirmed for the Orara Valley Axemen Rugby League Sevens tournament at Coramba Sportsground on January 22 and 23.

Orara Valley Rugby League president, Kevin Elks, said this would mean around 40-plus matches being played on the Saturday.

"Admission is only $2 for adults and children under-16 are admitted free which represents excellent value," Elks said.

Teams confirmed as entries for the Sevens are: Mark Carroll's Barbarians, US Tomahawks, Fiji (national team), Orara Axemen (Green), Orara Axemen (Gold), Coffs Comets, Lebanese Cedars, Nambucca Heads Roosters, Wyong Roos, Fiji A, Gimbisi Warriors (1), Gimbisi Warriors (2), Sydney University, Armidale Rams, Grafton Ghosts, Byron Bay, Sydney Metro Aboriginal All Stars, Hoey Moey, Guyra Super Spuds, Maltese Knights, Sawtell Panthers, Macksville Sea Eagles, South Grafton Rebels, Coogee Dolphins, Narwan Eels, Macleay Valley Mustangs and Auburn Warriors.

Training for the Axemen will move to Coramba Sportsground tomorrow night from 6pm to start Sevens preparations.
