Second child for Russell and Danielle
STANDING in front of a packed audience at the Coffs Hotel on Saturday night, Russell Crowe announced that he is to become a dad for the second time.
Choosing to share his good news on the second of his two-night concert at the Coffs watering hole with band The Ordinary Fear of God, Crowe grabbed the crowd's attention by simply saying 'I have a special announcement'.
Saying that he found out that night that he 'was allowed' to share the news, Crowe announced that wife Danielle was in fact pregnant again, giving two-year-old Charlie a little brother or sister.
Making sure no one was confused about how happy he was, Crowe dedicated the first of his six-song encore to Danielle, saying that the song he penned for her had taken on a new depth.
Jumping on his private jet to Sydney straight after the gig, the Oscar-winner yesterday flew to Hollywood to attend the Golden Globes with 'me mate Heath (Ledger)'. Both are up for best actor gongs.
Chatting on the awards to the crowd between songs, Crowe joked that he wished it were a touch football game because he and Heath would 'definitely beat them' but as it was they just had to 'sit on their hands'.
Crowe was nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of boxer Jim Braddock in Cinderella Man. The awards will be televised tomorrow night.
