Rolling on the river

THE senior men's competition was finalised last Wednesday night, with grand finals being contested in four divisions.

In division one, Big River defeated Angry Boys 58-46.

The Big River team, comprised mostly of representative players, had experience on their side.

All the Big River boys put points on the board, while Craig Hanlon with 23 was best for Angry Boys.

In division two, Deeznuts defeated Coopers 55-50.

A second half revival by Coopers, led by Dirk Miller with 13 second half points was not sufficient to make up the half time deficit.

Deeznut's Mat Hartsuyker put in 25 points to lead all scorers for the game.

In division three, The Milkers easily accounted for the Has Beens 76-19.

Scoring was shared by The Milkers, while Lenehan was best for the Has Beens with 10 points.

In division four, Old School Ballers had a 20 point win over Chrome Black, 59-39.

The first quarter score was drawn at 11 all while the half time score put Old School Ballers ahead by one point.

However, the second half was a different game, with the Old School boys hitting their shots more accurately.

The players received their winners and runner-up medals and were treated to pizza before many settled in to watch the Coffs Suns take on the Fijians.
