Roaring out on a goodwill mission

HEARING them is one thing but seeing them is definitely another.

What a spectacular sight it was on Saturday when hundreds of bike lovers from the area hit the road all in the name of children.

Spreading goodwill, and gathering toys and gifts from the region, these bikers were on a mission for the city's annual toy run.

The event has been running for 11 years and Colin Roberts from the group said it was estimated 250 bikers took part.

All toys and proceeds this year will go to the Salvation Army and Mr Roberts said it was amazing to see the amount of toys collected throughout the community.

The toy run started at the Moonee Beach Tavern before continuing to Coffs Harbour and Sawtell, before finishing with a barbecue at the Jetty Foreshores.
