Ring handed in to police

DON'T despair if you've lost an engagement ring recently.

Coffs Harbour police might be able to help you in your time of need.

Sergeant Graeme Kady said an elderly woman found a woman's 'well-worn' engagement ring featuring a diamond setting and white gold band in the Park Avenue car park toilet block on May 19.

The woman placed a 'found' advertisement in The Coffs Coast Advocate and received a number of responses.

However, she has since decided to hand the ring in at the Coffs Harbour Police Station.

The search continues in earnest for the owner.

If you think the ring is yours, contact Coffs Harbour police on 6652 0299.
