Pressure to save public land at the Jetty

With 150 submissions collected by noon on Saturday to add to the 500 he had already collected, Jetty resident Phil White, right, says he has confirmed his belief that people just need encouragement to put forward their views on the Harbourside Concept Plan. Mr White, whose personal campaign focuses on retaining green space at the Jetty, has been erecting his 25 metre Save Our Open Space banner by the side of the Jetty Oval at weekends and providing a table, seating and submission forms to encourage people to have their say. Pictured are residents putting pen to paper. Public submissions on the Plan close on February 20.
