Opportunity of a lifetime for Callum

WOOLGOOLGA'S Callum Podbury has won the opportunity of a life time ? to play on the MCG today at half time in the 2005 Toyota AFL Grand Final between Sydney Swans and West Coast Eagles. Accompanied by a guardian, Callum, 8, travelled to Melbourne to participate in Toyota AFL Grand Final activities from Thursday of Grand Final week, right through to playing AFL Auskick at half-time of the Grand Final. Callum will join AFL Auskick Ambassador Robert 'Dipper' DiPierdomenico in the AFL Toyota Grand Final parade, visit the AFL Hall of Fame and Sensation and participate in the Grand Final pre-match entertainment. How did Callum get so lucky? Simply by registering in the 2005 AFL Auskick program. Every AFL Auskick participant across Australian, aged between five and 12, was automatically entered into the competition which was electronically drawn at AFL House. One winner from each of the 92 development regions across Australia was selected making this one of the biggest kids competitions of its kind. This competition demonstrates that AFL Auskick is a truly national program which benefits all participants regardless of their demographic.
