No change in man hit by sweeper



COFFS HARBOUR man remained in a critical condition in hospital yesterday after he was hit by a street-sweeping truck on New Year's Day.

The 51-year-old stepped onto Albany Street near the Curacoa Street intersection into the path of the city council vehicle at 3.45am.

The man was trapped under the vehicle for up to 40 minutes.

He is being treated in the intensive care unit of St George Hospital in Sydney.

His condition has not changed.
