Moonlit night a trap for clifftop walker

A Toormina man sparked an emergency when he tripped over on Boambee Headland on Tuesday night. The 36-year-old was walking with friends on the eastern side of the headland about 5.50pm when he fell over and dislocated his left kneecap. His mates raised the alarm and when ambulance officers arrived, they treated the man and requested police to organise an SES rescue. SES crews carried the man in a litter up the slope to a waiting ambulance in the car park. He was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
