Mick says you have got to be in the swim

MICK Maley is hoping his recent vision of perfect weather for Sunday's Novotel Pacific Bay Resort Ocean Swims comes true, and he is anticipating record numbers to face the starter's gun.

"Entries are coming in at a good steady pace from all over Australia," Ocean Swims organiser Mr Maley said.

"I have got calluses on my knees from praying for good weather."

To be held at Jetty beach, there will be three races, with the 600 metres starting at 9am, the 2000 metre swim at 10am and the 250 metres charity swim at 11.30am.

Registration for all races will be held on Saturday from 2pm to 3.30pm at the Coffs Harbour Yacht Club and on Sunday from 6.30am to 8.30am. Late entries will be received on Sunday with a $10 extra late entry fee.

Entry forms are also available at all local swimming pools or from the Ocean Swims website at www.coffsoceanswims.com.
