Meals stalwart tries a new recipe

AFTER 14 years of dedicated service, Christine Capararo is waving goodbye to her friends at Sawtell Meals on Wheels today.

Christine, manager, said it was time to move on.

"I'm moving to child care. I'll be operating my own child care service from home."

She explained the decision to leave wasn't easy, and that she will miss working with the dedicated staff.

"Everyone here really cares and has a real commitment to helping others and keeping Meals on Wheels going. I've made some great friendships both with the staff here and the clients."

"Christine has a great relationship with our clients. She will be very sadly missed by the committee and all the volunteers," president Kevin Oatley said.

Leanne Russell will now take over the reins.
