Lights on to win

IT'S time to get those decorations out and dress up your pocket of paradise for this festive season.

Once again Country Energy is sponsoring the Light Up the Foreshores community event and residents of Mylestom, North Beach, Repton, Raleigh, Urunga and Hungry Head are encouraged to participate.

Organised by the Urunga/Mylestom Chamber of Commerce, the competition began last week with judging taking place on December 19 and 20.

Categories include best-lit house, most original house, and best lit street.

No official entry is required but judges need to know where to find you, so give Greg McPhee a call on 6655 6340 to give him directions.

Winners will be announced at the Carols by Candlelight by the River on December 22. T

he winner of the best lit street or road will have a sign erected acknowledging their achievement.

First place getters receive Country Energy vouchers valued at $150.
