Another close game between the two Northern Districts sides, with Yellow coming out on top again with tight bowling and good fielding. Liam Armitage had another good innings.

COLTS HOYS PHYSIO (92) def NORTHERN DISTRICT REBELS (58)

Colts - Kurt Atkinson 18 runs and 1 for 2, Aiden Statham 2 for 5, Jodi Cooper 2 for 13. ND Rebels ? Mitch Webber 16 runs.

A great game between two competitive sides who enjoy cricket. Rebels set a record by bowling 25 overs without taking a single wicket. They can only improve.

Nana Glen East ? Damon Rootes 18 runs, Nathan Gett 9 runs, Dillon Leehy 1 for 4. Diggers - Rory Tolhurst 28 runs retired, Connor White 25 runs retired. Luke Corlis 2 for 5, Andrew Brooks 2 for 3.

A well drilled Diggers team provided a lesson in both batting and fielding discipline in a well deserved win against Nana Glen East. For the Nana Glen team both Damon & Nathan batted well in the team total of 57 while Dillon secured the only opposition wicket to fall. An improved fielding performance will be looked for in future matches.

Sawtell ? Harmandeep Sidhu 13 runs, Jordan Andrews 10 runs, Ben Crawford 3 for 4. Nana Glen West - Aiden Whish Wilson 10 runs Mason Wells 17 runs and 2 for 6.

A day with some great fielding from both teams. Sawtell had some good catches from Thomas Hewitt, Mathew McHeyzer and Reed Clayton. A good all-round game from Harmandeep Sidhu. Ben Crawford, Tyh Murphy, John Lovett and Jordan Andres showed good bowling. Reed Clayton hit a good 6 over the cones. A great game between two sides having a close and friendly game played in good sportsmanship.

UNDER 13's

DIGGERS DEMONS (5/96) DEF COLTS PAINTSMART (5/52)

Diggers Demons ? Jack O'Neill 27 retired, Rhys Tolhurst 10 runs, Bikram Kaler 1 for 2, Niall Sellers 2 not out and 1 for 3. Colts Paintsmart - Ben Hunter 1 for 5, Nick Yacoub 1 for 9, Travis Statham 1 for 7.

The Demons won the toss and batted. Jack O'Neill 27 retired and Rhys Tolhurst 10, put on a great opening stand of 47 runs, this laid the foundation of the Demons total of 5/96. The Demons bowlers kept to a tight line. All catches were taken and Max, Amos, Birkram, Joel and Niall all chipped in with a wicket. The Paintsmart Colts never gave in but were out classed by Diggers. The Paintsmart Colts are improving all the time well done boys.

Diggers ? Trent Dierick 22 runs, Michael Brooks 11 runs, Jordan Symons 2 for 1, Dean Slattery 2 for 7. Sawtell - Scott Jennings 14 runs, A J Millan 12 runs.

A bad day in the field from the Dolphins allowed Diggers Tornadoes to reach a reasonable score. Dolphins threatened to take the match but could not keep batsman at the crease long enough to get the win.

UNDER 15's

Diggers ? Tim Anderson 54 runs, Tom Bishop 38 runs and 1 for 5, Sam Turner 26 and 1 for 5, Ben Slater 2 for 6, Dylan Mason 2 for 5, Brook Hutchinson 16 runs, Lachlan Stretton 11 runs. ND Rebels Yellow ? Zac Hudson-Smith 2 for 6, Luke Flanagan 2 for 7, Harminder Singh 29 runs & 2 for 9, Harmeet Shetra 19 runs.

A great match. Diggers started out shakey with two quick wickets to Singh but the excellent batting by Tim Anderson and Tom Bishop saw Diggers reach a mammoth 173. An awesome display of batting, bowling and fielding by Diggers made the task of seven runs per over beyond the Rebels who have learnt a great deal from the experience.

UNDER 15's

SAWTELL BREAKERS (99) DEF NORTHERN DISTRICT REBELS BLUE (85)

Sawtell ? Curtis Lamond 25 runs retired, Dillon Tighe 25 runs retired, David Angus 11 runs and 2 for 11, Michael Oates 14 runs, Michael Killeen 2 for 4. ND Rebels Blue - Sam Davey 25 runs retired and 1 for 1, Aman Mullee 15 runs not out, Alex Davey 1 for 3.

A good game by all. An excellent partnership from Curtis & Dillon set up the innings for the Breakers. Congratulation on a much tighter bowling performance by the NDR Blues. A good starting knock by S Davey and a quick run blaze by A Mullee wasn't enough to counter good Sawtell bowling.

A great spell of spin bowling from Craig McIver with 5 for 9 and Harry Asquith off spin bowling taking 3 for 12.
