Josie is simply the best

POLOCROSSE clubs on the North Coast have much to be proud about with the success of the combined mixed junior team at the recent NSW zone championships at Moree.

The team comprising Sydnee Doolan, Brooke Bergen and Josie Doolan of Coffs Harbour club Brad Parkins and Frazer Donnelly of Macksville and Matt Mcguren from Grafton, dominated in all three games.

They had wins over a touring UK side 17-2 and south east Queensland (10-8) which set the scene for a showdown against the well performed North West Plains team in the final which they won 11-6.

Josie Doolan was named best junior horse and rider combination at the carnival which continues her success at recent local carnivals with a best no. 2 at Coffs Harbour and the Grafton/Macksville combined carnival.

This season has been a good one for the Coffs Club with a least one if not both teams making the finalsevery weekend away and more often than not winning their grade.

The next carnival will be the Rose Bowl at Morgan Park, Warwick on August 20-21 and is highly anticipated by all players as the facilities and the competition are first class and the night games are spectacular.
