It was the domino effect

Wet and wild . . . Residents were left scratching their heads yesterday at this bizarre sight in Coffs Harbour's Plantation Avenue. At 1.55pm, a Coffs Harbour woman, 46, was driving her husband, 50, in their Mazda 929 west in Beryl Street when a Toormina man, 26, failed to give way in his Corolla as he pulled out of Murray Drive, police said. The cars collided, but the Corolla then raced out of control across the front lawn of a Plantation Avenue house, hitting a trailer which slammed into a garage door. The Corolla then hit a boat and another trailer before crashing over a brick retaining wall. The driver was treated at hospital for a cut to his forehead, while the Mazda passenger had a seizure at the scene and also went to hospital. The road was wet at the time of the accident. Police inquiries continue.
