Investigation under way after fires

TWO fires within six hours destroyed a Coffs Harbour home over the weekend.

Coffs Harbour police and fire station crews were called to the first blaze at the Gallipoli Road house at 9.50pm on Saturday.

Less than three hours after leaving the scene both emergency crews, as well as Sawtell Fire Brigade, returned to the address when notified of a second fire at 3am on Sunday.

No one was injured in the fire, with the occupants not at home.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
