Guy's works a good view

Jeanette Ransom revisits a painting by Guy Gilmour, part of a retrospective exhibition of the painter's work at the Coffs Harbour City Gallery, Paintings in the Orara Valley 1990-2005. Mrs Ransom, the founding director of Coffs Harbour's Lake Russell Gallery and now the public programs officer for Victoria's Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, said Red Dog In A Corn Paddock, now in the collection of Viking Wahlgren, was the first painting by Guy Gilmour she had sold for him at Lake Russell Gallery. Two new exhibitions are now on show at the City Gallery, Liz Stops Ceramics 1998-2004 and the Guy Gilmour paintings.
