Freewheelin' day on the beach

Yesterday was a fantastic day for Halfway Creek's Erin Booker.

Assisted by Northcott's Adrian Dolahenty, Erin was able to enjoy what most Coffs Coast residents take for granted ? a day at the beach.

Splashing out with Erin at the Jetty Beach were other North Coast children with disabilities, aboard their brand new FreeWheeler wheelchairs.

Thanks to their mode of transport the young children were able to get on to the sand and into the surf to enjoy everything a day at the beach has to offer.

The new Northcott FreeWheeler has large, bright-coloured pneumatic balloon tyres to make it easier to cross sand and other rough terrain.

It was designed to allow people with a disability to enjoy the sun, sand, surf and snow with greater ease ? areas which conventional wheelchairs have difficulty accessing.
