Four new faces for Redz

By KUE DAVIS

REDZ Hair Salon now has four fresh new faces after the naming of the winners of the Face of Redz competition yesterday at Park Beach Plaza.

The final kicked into gear at centre stage yesterday around noon, with each finalist strutting their stuff down the catwalk for the judges.

The judges Anne-Marie Oxley from The Advocate, Donna Whitehouse from North Coast Modelling and Casting Agency, Karen Luke from Medioptics, State manager of L'Oreal Professional Nick Manfield and Redz owner Amanda McCallum had a hard time deciding who would win.

Still, there had to be a winner, and in this case one from each category under-18 woman, under-18 male, over-18 woman and over-18 male.

Safety Beach resident Fletcher Barrett, 17, took out the under-18 male category.

Fourteen-year-old Casey Bursel-Launt from Coffs Harbour won the under 18 woman category.

The over-18 male was won by Peter McAlpine, 25, from Toormina.

Coffs Harbour girl Jasmine Bailey, 25, was the winner of the over-18 woman category. Jasmine will enjoy a trip to Los Angeles.

Some of the prizes for the category winners were a six-month gym membership, a 12-month supply of hair-care products, a $150 clothing voucher, a professional photo shoot and, of course, becoming the Face of Redz.
