Former radio station manager fronts court



A FORMER Coffs Harbour community radio station manager appeared in Coffs Harbour Local Court yesterday on a bail hearing.

Jason William Roe, 33, of Brighton, Brisbane, has been charged with fraudulent misappropriation of funds in excess of $150,000.

An application for extradition was heard in Brisbane Local Court last week, with Mr Roe re-quired to surrender himself to Coffs Harbour detectives yesterday.

Magistrate Moore yesterday heard the charges against Mr Roe and set a $20,000 cash or security bail to be posted prior to Mr Roe being released from police custody.

The bail conditions require Mr Roe to appear daily at the Sandgate Police Station which is a four-minute walk from his Brisbane home.

He is not permitted to apply for a passport or undertake travel.

Magistrate Moore asked for the police brief to completed and presented to Coffs Harbour Local Court on September 4.
